Mummification

Mummification is a practice in BDSM, a kind of sensory deprivation, in which the bottom is wrapped like a mummy, depriving him of the ability not only to move, but also to feel and see and (not always) hear.

Goals of mummification. Mummification in BDSM can be made for several purposes. That is, it is a technique that can be used in one case as an option of bondage under the influence; in another it can be used for an independent action, as an extreme and giving the strongest effect of practice.

First, mummification can be used for subsequent painful practices and other effects on the bottom. He is completely helpless, does not see what is happening, and his sensations are concentrated on the impact zones, the rest of the body is not able to receive signals from outside. This reinforces the sensations of the practices.   In this version, mummification is also used for sexual games.

Secondly, mummification is used actually for the purposes of sensory deprivation, as a way to immerse the bottom in its own inner world. With this "mummy" is left alone. Bottom, regardless of his desire, has to completely turn off the control of what is happening since he does not receive any signals from outside, on the basis of which he could somehow analyze the external world, and the possibility that something to change is also absent. Meanwhile, it is the inability to completely turn off control during the action is one of the difficulties that prevent you from having fun. And this experience will be useful to the bottom. This also requires a high degree of confidence to the Top from his side, and allows us to show this confidence. With this version of mummification, bottom relaxes at first, then passes into a state of altered consciousness, and it can manifest various psychological effects.

Mummification and safety techniques. Mummification is carried out either with cloth and bandages, or with the help of food film. The first method is technically more difficult, the second is easier, because the film immediately sticks to the body. However, film has a significant drawback because the body does not breathe and sweats heavily. Therefore, wrapping option is performed in two layers: with gauze (which absorbs sweat) and a film that quickly and easily secures the gauze. Film in this case can be imposed with less worrying about the accuracy and tension of the turns. Each arm or leg is wrapped separately, then bandaging it to the body. Gauze pads are pre-applied to the eyes. Wrap is completed in a supine position. It is important to leave hole for breathing for bottom. There are also a number of technical details and difficulties that must be learned in advance in order to qualitatively conduct mummification.

Mummification, despite external harmlessness, is an extreme practice that exerts the strongest psychological influence. First of all, the categorical contraindication for mummification are the corresponding phobias - in particular, claustrophobia. It should be borne in mind that panic attacks during the action are possible for all the bottoms, and one must be ready to quickly release the bottom by cutting the covers. This situation is fraught with a serious nervous breakdown, it is impossible to predict it. It must also be borne in mind that, in a state of altered consciousness, the bottom can try to move without controlling himself, so you can not leave it alone. To do this, you need to have scissors with blunt ends, surgical ones are better becayse they are capable of cutting a thick layer of tissue.
