Pet-play

Pet-play is a role-playing game in animals, in which the bottom plays the role of an animal, and the Top is its master. Pet-play is closely connected not only with BDSM, but also with other subcultures, in particular, furry, and depending on who, and what for plays this game, it may or may not be BDSM practice. Pony-play, as part of BDSM, has primarily sadomasochistic motives. This is an opportunity for the bottom to take off all social responsibility during the game, feel completely subordinate, humiliated by the loss of the human image, and for the Top is the opportunity to feel full power over the partner. In addition, in this game there is pain (with various penalties), elements of exhibitionism, as well as a fetish (for example, on latex or milk), other deviations may also matter. In all cases, for easy creation of emotional effect from associations, they are guided by the developed cultural symbolism, those features that are considered inherent in this animal. For example, a goddess in European culture is one of the symbols of sexual activity and insatiability in sex; fact that in reality she can only mate once a year does not matter.

Pet-play options There are many options of pet play - the most popular are the dog-play, pony-play, cat-play, piggy-play, as well as cow-play, sheep-play and so on: the choice of pet roles for pet-play is not exhausted by the above options.

Dog-play, playing the dog, one of the traditional and most common in BDSM. The general symbolism of the subculture (wearing the collar by the bottom) also contributes to the development of parallels with dogs, and the word "doggess" used for humiliation, as well as the name of some poses in sex , and other moments. Dogs are fed, watered, trained, led on a leash and muzzle. It is possible to add the practice of dogging here, although it is not a part of BDSM, but also used by amateurs of publicity from among the subject members, and perfectly combined with the dog-play. However, the sexual context and sex in the dog-play is present in most cases. Less common options for collective entertainment include "dog fights" and "dog" shows.

Pony-play is an independent kind of pet play, having several separate directions, and own developed subculture. There are ponies for dressage, harness, riding, and rubber ponies. There are national and international associations that organize pony-play lovers, exhibitions, competitions, etc. This version of the game uses the greatest amount of ammunition.

Cat-play is also a traditional version of the play in BDSM. Many women associate themselves with cats. This play is usually carried out using the minimal attributes (tail on the plug, cat ears, etc.), but there are also cat costumes used for latex fetish or other kinds of fetishism. Cat does not have to be domestic one - some options of leopards and tigresses came from furry, in which the game "suits" are created by means of body art.

Piggy-play (playing the pig) is less common than described above. This is facilitated by the current perception of the pig as a dirty animal. Piggy-play is sometimes used for humiliation in a femdom. It can be combined with fetish plays (coprophilia, urinophilia).

Cow play is a specific variant of pet-play, in which so-called erotic milking can be used. There is also a sexual motive, and a fetish for milk (lactophilia).  Although erotic milking is usually not practiced in the form of pet-play, but such a game option provides additional opportunities.
